Kentucky Derby

We had our 3rd annual Kentucky Derby Party complete with mint juleps, off-track betting and gorgeous hats! We just love our friends and family. Thanks to Andrea for supplying everything equine for the ambiance.

Timbers Game April 17

Great game against FC Dallas. Timbers won again! I do have a suggestion for them though...play like FC Barcelona (Champions League Champions) and you'll win every one!

Floor Remodel

In April we had bamboo hardwood installed. We did our own demolition and are still finding wonderboard (cement) in cupboards and closets. It was a fun project, but we are so glad to be done. We're enjoying watching the cats skid out on the new slippery floor (no major crashes yet!).

Snow Day February 24

Spring is on its Way

This weekend we went to the yard, garden and patio show and Matt was inspired to get started on a composting bin. We also tried a sandwich place called Bunk. I had a great roast beef, caramelized onions, cheddar and horseradish sammy--so good! Also, here's a typical picture of Denali; her tail is so long she can wrap it around her body and completely over her front paws. She is such a lady!

This is Why

4th grader: I got you Skittles because you're a lot younger [than the other teachers I'm giving candy to].

Progress

The cats napped about a foot away from one another on Friday evening and then last night, both kitties slept in our bed! Denali had been sleeping on the couch when Ham commandeered her spot on our bed. Yeah for more cat fur :)
